Your Sixth Sense

For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20 (AMPC)

We know that God is omnipresent, meaning that He is everywhere. But have you ever experienced a time when you were in worship and it felt different? Maybe you were at a church, surrounded by other people who were also worshipping God, and you sensed something in the atmosphere.

Psalm 22:3 says that God dwells in the praises of his people. When followers of Jesus praise and worship Him, He is there. Also, Matthew 18:19-21 says that when two Christians come together to pray, God shows up. Sometimes we sense and feel this Presence and sometimes we do not. But that does not make Him any less present.

You have not five, but six senses. Your sixth sense is not a paranormal sense like we see in the movies; it is a sense of God’s realm—the spirit realm that you were created for. Sometimes we sense God’s Presence with this sixth sense.

If you feel bored with your relationship with God, spend some time in His Presence. Your life is not limited to only what you can sense and feel. You can tune in to God’s Presence.

Find some quiet time today to simply be in God’s Presence. It may help to start with some great praise and worship music to help you to tune in. Then, as you read your Bible and do devotions, expect Holy Spirit to show up. Do not be concerned if you do not have an earth-shaking experience, though. You may and you may not. Just know this: He is there.
