You Were Designed To Push Out Dis-Ease

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV)

We’ve been on a series about mental health, and as believers, we need to realize that we’ve been promised health in this area. As new creations in Christ, we have been designed to push out all dis-ese and bring in the life of Jesus Christ.

Today’s verse talks about the warfare we are engaged in. The Amplified version adds that we use these mighty weapons (God’s Word) to cast down “arguments and theories and reasonings,” but many times we get frustrated with this process because it doesn’t seem to be working.

What we need to understand is we can’t just renew our minds a little bit. The key is to get this powerful Word of God and its revelation deep down into your heart. That takes time, but that’s how change happens, and how we begin to release joy and peace.

As you pursue growing in God’s Word and you stay open to finding treatments that work, stay tuned in to Holy Spirit as he will always guide you in what to do. I know people who were helped by medications, and some who weren’t. Some found that working with an expert on diet and supplements was the key, while others found that a hormone imbalance was the cause. I’ve heard about multiple causes and treatments, but in every case, finding truth in God’s Word will help you to move toward health. And always remember that God loves you and wants you healthy and whole in your spirit, soul (mind and emotions) and body.
