Have you ever wondered what God’s will is for your life?
Let’s pretend a friend of yours was going away for an extended holiday. Before going, she gave you a big bunch of keys and told you to feel free to use her house, cabin, car, boat, and everything else opened by those keys.
She gave you the keys and the authority to use them, right? So you have the right to access every item controlled by those keys. How silly would it be if you phoned her up and asked her to unlock her house for you? “You have the keys,” she’d say. “Go ahead and unlock it!”
In today’s verse, Jesus said that he gave us the keys to the kingdom. So you have the right to access all that Jesus owns: every blessing and promise. That is God’s will for your life!
Why do we keep begging him to give us what he’s already given us the keys to?
We don’t need to pray, “Jesus, please heal me” or “Jesus, please fix my finances!” He already gave us the keys! We can already access healing and prosperity through faith—when we believe! Instead, we should pray, “Thank you, Father, for giving me the keys to every blessing and promise!”
As a believer, you have the power to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18) and be healthy (Isaiah 53:4–5), in Christ. As you believe it and take action, doing everything you know how to do, you will walk in those blessings!
