When To Praise Him The Loudest

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 (KJV)

There is such freedom in deciding to praise and worship God no matter what is going on in your life.

According to our verse today, God inhabits our praises, but this doesn’t mean that God only shows up when we praise Him. If you’ve given your life to Christ, He’s always with you, but you may not always be aware of Him. As you praise and worship God, you become more aware of His presence.

Something amazing happens when you turn your focus to God’s goodness. You “find fullness of joy” in God’s presence (Psalm 16:11).

You can tap in to the joy God has for you, no matter what is going on in your life, if you praise and worship Him. His joy is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

As you spend time praising God for who He is, what He’s done and what He’s going to do, your focus is positive. You’re focused on solutions, not problems, so according to Philippians 4:8–9, you also experience God’s peace.

Look at all the benefits of praise and worship. It builds faith and helps you to experience the miraculous (as we covered yesterday). It also helps you experience God’s presence, brings you joy, strengthens you and gives you peace. So, why wouldn’t you want to worship and praise Him every day?

When fear has you in its grip, when the stress of life is making your head buzz, when you feel weighed down by responsibilities and things aren’t going well, that’s the time to praise and worship Him the loudest.
