For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4 (NKJV)
Faith is not a function of your rational, analytical mind. Faith is a matter of trusting in Jesus. No matter what your experience or what you have heard, choose to trust Him at His Word. He will do what He says.
Some are always wondering if they have attained the required level of faith to earn their miracle. They think they need to work up a certain emotional feeling or power. Faith is not like that. Romans 10:17 says faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ (NLT). Hearing the good news that Jesus earned all of God’s promises for you gives you faith. You grow your trust and faith by learning and meditating on God’s Word. It is not some magical level you have to achieve. All you need to do is become more convinced of what Jesus has made possible for you.
We cannot always explain miracles. We also cannot explain why some miracles do not happen.
You may know of someone who has a great relationship with God but did not receive the miracle they believed they would. Do not get caught on trying to explain why some receive and some don’t. One day when you meet Jesus in Heaven you can ask Him to explain everything. Until then, have faith.
Will you choose to dwell on times when you or someone you know didn’t receive an answer to prayer? Or will you believe?
