Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
Is your faith the denomination you belong to? Is it your belief in Jesus?
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (NKJV).
Imagine a close friend becomes very wealthy and tells you they are buying you a new house. You are very excited because you know that you can trust them to keep their word. Immediately, you can already see yourself in your new house.
Faith is much the same. It is seeing your answer to prayer before it actually happens and calling things which do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17, NKJV). When you pray for something that God has promised you in His Word, the confident belief that you will receive it is called faith.
When praying for something, do not shotgun your prayers at the ceiling, hoping God will answer your requests. You can be sure of His will in so many areas. Discover the promises God has for you in the Bible and meditate on them until you can see yourself receiving them. See the promise, believe it is yours and then receive it.
2 Corinthians 1:20 says for all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” (NLT). Not some, not a few, but ALL of God’s promises are yours when you accept Jesus as your Saviour—and not when you earn them.
Miracles happen when you simply believe.
