What Are You Fighting For?

Leon FontaineDevoted

Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:10

I love that we devote a day to honour those who have sacrificed for our freedom.
Although war is terrible and is to be avoided whenever possible, there are times when it’s necessary. And I believe it is absolutely vital to give honour where honour is due.
The sacrifice that many incredibly brave and courageous men and women have made for our freedom is certainly deserving of honour.

Because of their sacrifice, we can live our lives as we choose and are free to become whatever we want to become. We are free to worship and speak our opinions freely.
We have so much to be grateful for! Let’s never take for granted that this freedom was paid for with human lives.

It’s easy to complain about everything that’s going wrong and to become familiar with what we have, but let’s remember what these brave men and women fought for. Because freedom is never free. Someone always pays the price for it.
Everything of worth requires a fight…so what are you fighting for? Be inspired today by the sacrifice of others. You may not need to fight in a war, but you still have things to fight for. You can refuse to sit back and let injustice happen around you. You can fight to believe and fight to create a better home, better community, better city, country…a better world.
Let’s continue this good fight together—both to better ourselves and the world around us.
