Trust Is A Two-Way Street

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalms 32:8 (NKJV)

We often hesitate to trust Holy Spirit because we’re afraid He will require us to do things we hate. We worry that we will have to give up everything we love and spend our lives in miserable sacrifice without any enjoyment.

That is simply not true. When you are led by Holy Spirit, He gives you access to an abundant life. He lacks nothing and is holding nothing back from you. Although this world that we live in isn’t perfect, He has planned a great life for you. You can trust Him completely!

We are often so focused on ourselves that we forget that our relationship with Holy Spirit is a two-way street. He also needs to be able to trust you.

Before we go any further, remember that trust and forgiveness are not the same. Holy Spirit always forgives you, but He will only promote you if He can trust you to be obedient.

Before He promotes you to a new level of responsibility, He wants to be sure you are ready for it. He has placed many gifts within you—not just one. As you serve Him, skills and abilities will rise up in you that you never realized were there. But before He can move you forward, He needs to know what you will do when you get there. He will multiply everything you do IF he can trust you.

Listen to Holy Spirit and be obedient; you will fulfill the stunning adventure He has for you. Seek Him first and make it your number one desire to know Him.
