Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19 (NKJV)
Life can be tough. Whenever you’re facing a tough situation, especially when you don’t think you can handle any more, remember that you have a Father God who loves you. He wants to teach you, empower you, comfort you when you’ve had a rough day and cheer you on as you build your life.
God’s strength is yours! He’s in you, empowering you to take on new challenges. And, like a father who stands below his toddler as she learns to climb the stairs, God is always standing by, ready to help us pick up the pieces if we fall.
We will face struggles in this lifetime, but we have the best help. God wraps His arms around us, comforting us through the tough times, cheering us on and empowering us to take on even those problems that seem too tough. That is what God is like.
At the same time, God still wants us to do what we can. As we work hard, grow and learn, God works within us all the time. It’s not a matter of relying on our own strength until it’s run out and then involving God. We do what we can and keep going while trusting that God’s power and ability are in us.
The next time you’re struggling, remember that your Father God is with you all the way. He wraps His arms around you to comfort you and He cheers you on, but He has also given you power. You can stand strong and do what’s right. You can be calm when everything seems out of control and you can overcome every situation with His peace.
