THE KEY TO EXPLOSIVE POWER

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]… Hebrews 4:12 (AMPC)

Have you ever thought, “I know there’s power in God’s Word. But how do I get it to work in my life?”

That question reminds me of a show I watched on explosives. Years ago, a Swedish chemist created an explosive liquid called nitroglycerin. It was incredibly volatile. If you accidentally shook it a little too much, all they would find of you is a set of teeth somewhere! Then he discovered that using another substance to absorb the nitroglycerin allowed him to create a safe, mouldable paste he called dynamite. Later, he figured out that if he attached a blasting cap to the dynamite, he had a controlled way to release the explosive power of the nitroglycerin.

For believers, meditation in the Word is the blasting cap that releases God’s power into your life. Now, some people think meditation means letting your mind float aimlessly. However, Biblical meditation is the opposite. It’s intentionally envisioning and reflecting on what God says until you believe it at the heart level.

The Word of God is potent and alive. His promises can bring explosive financial and relational miracles into your life. They can blast off the chains of addiction or sexual misbeliefs. The key to experiencing the miraculous and enjoying freedom in all areas of your life lies in internalizing God’s Word through meditation.

Remember that spending time with God in His Word can bring tremendous change. If you don’t practice Biblical meditation, why not light the fuse and start today?
