But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. Deuteronomy 30:14 (NKJV)
To experience the promises of God, dream them and speak them. Speaking His promises every day helps you to make them part of your heart’s vision for the future, and then your heart can begin to make that vision happen. What you’re attracted to, what you desire, and the actions you take will begin to change, which will change what you experience.
So, let me ask you: what have you been saying? Have you been murmuring and complaining? Do you complain about your life rather than claim God’s promises over it?
Do you complain about the economy, rather than speak God’s promises of blessing over your life? Do you complain about your kids, rather than declare that they have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation?
Make sure you declare God’s promises over every area of your life. If you start to worry about something, declaring God’s promises is a great way to drop-kick that worry through the goalposts of life!
Every time fear, anxiety or worry enters your mind, you can speak back to it. Every time the devil spoke to Jesus to tempt Him, Jesus replied, “It is written” (Matthew 4). He showed us how to react to temptation—even the temptation to worry.
You can take a minute in your car or even in the washroom at work to whisper, “It is written. I’m a child of God. The blessing of God is upon me. I can access a peace that passes all understanding. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” Speak the promises of God’s Word over every area of your life and take action. Things will change!
