Say The Word, Reap The Benefits

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)

God will never leave you or forsake you. Today’s verse says that He is your helper, so you have nothing to fear. Despite this amazing fact, we often do live in fear and anxiety.

If that describes you today, I have an assignment for you. Create some quiet time for yourself. Choose a spot where you can boldly say something like this: “Thank you, Father, that you are my helper, so I don’t need to fear. Thank you that you have made everything I need available to me to live in peace, joy and abundance. Help me as I choose to allow peace to reign over my mind and thoughts. I am blessed! The favour of God is on my life and I am right with you. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”

It’s not enough to just read God’s Word with our mouths closed; we need to speak it out loud. When we confess God’s Word, we are building our faith and prophesying to our future. We’re declaring what our future is going to be.

You want to influence your heart, so say it boldly and with passion. Don’t entertain fear; push it off and then fervently and repeatedly claim God’s life giving, healing Word! As you do, you are sowing His Word, and it’s only a matter of time before you reap its incredible benefits: an increase of peace, joy and every blessing of God in your life.
