Permission To Succeed

The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. Deuteronomy 30:9 (NKJV)

God has great plans for your life, and your beliefs determine whether or not you’ll walk them out.

If you hold on to beliefs that are not based on God’s Word, they can cause you to miss what God has for you. For example, one major misbelief that holds many Christians back is the belief that poverty is godly.

Many Christians have been taught that money is evil and having it causes us to become self-centered and proud. In reality, it’s the love of money that God has a problem with (putting money before Him). The truth is, success doesn’t have to lead to pride and selfishness. I know plenty of successful people who are sold out for Jesus and who give God all the glory for their success.

The problem with this poverty mentality is that it limits you and it can deny you access to the dreams God has placed in your heart.

Deep down, we all want to succeed. We don’t want to get married just to have the marriage fail, or start a business just to see it go bankrupt. Where do you think this desire for success comes from? God created us this way! In fact, He wants to cause every work of our hands to succeed (Deuteronomy 30:9).

You have permission to be successful. You are not destined to be limited in this lifetime. In fact, you are called to use the gifts and talents God has placed within you to build influence and to make a difference. And, through Christ, you’re empowered to do it!
