Leaving The Crowd Behind

Leon FontaineDevoted

Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. Mark 4:36   Sometimes we have to leave the multitude to fulfill our destiny. Over the last few days, we’ve been talking about how Jesus taught us to deal with the storms of life, based on Mark 4. As you read this portion of scripture, you’ll notice that Jesus left the multitude in order to go to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. Even when a storm came up, Jesus didn’t turn back to the familiarity of where he had just been. He pushed on toward where he had set out to go. How Jesus handled a storm shows us how …

Las Tormentas No Deciden Su Dirección

Leon FontaineEntregate

Storms Don’t Decide Your Direction

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14 (NKJV)   Never allow a storm to decide your direction. When things come against us, it can be tempting to go along with the direction the storm is blowing. If problem after problem happens in our marriage or business, we might start to think that maybe we’re in the wrong marriage or in the wrong business. We may begin to allow those storms to determine whether or not we continue to fight for what God has for us. The truth is, God has prepared great opportunities and blessings for us, and storms can’t take these things from us. We just need to persevere. We need to develop …

Headed For The Other Side

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Mark 4:35   Problems and difficulties that arise in our lives can have one of two effects. They can either shut us down or blast us ahead, depending upon how we deal with them. We can learn a lot about how Jesus dealt with the storms of life from Mark 4, where he calmed an actual storm that threatened to take his life and the lives of his followers. After teaching all day by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” They boarded a boat and set off, but before long a severe windstorm started to wash …
