You Already Meditate, But Is It Positive?

Leon FontaineDevoted

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, all Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 (NLT)  We all meditate, whether we realize it or not, but few meditate on purpose. Let me give you an example. Imagine that someone makes a negative comment about your performance at work. Feeling upset, you tell a family member, who assures you that your work is great. You share your indignation with a few more people and the more you think and talk about it, the angrier you become. Several others reassure you but all you can think about is that negative comment. You are choosing to meditate on something that does not benefit you. We all come across situations …

Bold For A Purpose

And pray for me, that words may be given to me when I open my mouth, to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news [of salvation]… Ephesians 6:19 (AMP) You’re created to be courageous, but not just for any reason. There’s a purpose behind this courage, because God has placed a calling on your life. Whether you’re in business or healthcare, whether you’re a parent or a student, everything you do is about the Kingdom of God. It’s about getting the Gospel out. In Ephesians 6:19, Paul makes an interesting prayer request. He asks the believers in Ephesus to pray that he would have boldness to share the Good News. Yet when you look at Paul’s life, he was already one of the boldest people you …

Hacer lo malo debilita la alegria

Leon FontaineEntregate

Courage Is Who You Are

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) Over the last few days, we’ve been talking about choosing courage. When I was around sixteen years old, my dad shared something with me that I’ve never forgotten. He told me, “Leon, confidence increases the presence of God in your life.” I began to realize that when I choose to do the courageous thing, something rises up within me. When I decide to act valiantly, real boldness comes from my recreated spirit. It’s interesting that there are more verses telling Joshua to be courageous than any other leader in the Bible. It makes me wonder …
