Calling you in deeper

Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation. 1 Peter 2:2 (AMPC) The Spirit of God is calling you. He speaks to every believer, and He’s always communicating. He is call- ing you to rise up and move on. As 1 Peter 2:2 teaches, He’s calling you to pursue and crave Him and His teaching the way newborn babies crave milk with all their being. And He’s calling you to act on the wisdom and direction you’re getting from Him and from His Word. If you’re in a comfortable place in life, you may be tempted to just stay where you are, but the Spirit of …

For many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14 (NKJV) When Jesus said that many are called but few are chosen, what did He mean? Some think it means that God predestined only some people to go to heaven. This explanation just doesn’t make sense because we can find several verses saying that God wants everyone to be saved (See 2 Peter 3:9, Matthew 18:14, 1 Timothy 2:4). The truth is He’s calling every person on the planet to a relationship with Himself, and everyone who chooses to follow Jesus becomes one of His chosen ones—members of His family. To get results, you need to start with the why, but don’t stop there. Communicate the ‘why’ Before you go into anything else, make sure that you’re clear on the ‘why’ behind what you are proposing. If you jump straight into the details of what you want people to do or how you want them to do it, you’ll lose people. They need to be inspired, motivated and encouraged to want to hear what you have to say. It’s not good enough to say, “Do it because I say so.” When someone joins your team or gets involved …
