When I was a young man, someone gave me a message that discussed what Satan saw on the day of Pentecost. Up until this point in my life, I had not yet studied about Holy Spirit to a great degree, but God used this message to ignite a passion in me.
I searched out more knowledge about Holy Spirit and began praying in the Spirit and meditating on His Word daily. At the same time, I began to witness more miracles as I prayed for people. Working in emergency rescue, I watched broken bones move into place, miracles on operating tables and even the dead come back to life. I had been introduced to the power of Holy Spirit operating in the real world.
My speech even changed; when I spoke about my faith the words seemed to pour straight out of my spirit. I remember talking to a tough, guarded man over lunch. He was touched by something more than my eloquent speaking and I knew it. With big tears flowing, he gave his life to Christ. It was God’s Spirit at work. This has happened multiple times with seemingly impossible people.
Holy Spirit can ignite this same passion in your heart too…and He can give you the same results. Get a passion for God’s Word and let Holy Spirit ignite a fire in you.
