Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine

Was there ever a moment in life when you had a realization that changed everything? Maybe you were struggling with a relationship and one day a light bulb turned on. Suddenly you realized how bless- ed you were to be in relationship with that person. Or maybe you had an “Ah ha” moment and decided that you’d never let anything come between you and a great relationship with your family.
Well, moments like this can happen when it comes to your relation- ship with God, too. Something goes on deep inside your heart and your relationship with Him moves on to a whole new level.
The Word of God is drawing you; it’s pulling you to this deeper level of relationship with God.
If you aren’t moving on with God in this way, you’ll feel dissatisfied. You might be unhappy right now because you’ve been sitting still too long. Or maybe you’ve been blaming others. You blame your spouse that your marriage is not exciting. You know what? No one can steal excitement from your heart.
People who are bored are boring because they expect excitement to come from others. Same goes for being excited about your relation- ship with God. It’s up to you to keep that re burning.
God wants you to keep moving on with Him to a deeper level of relationship. Stay aware of this as you read His Word, because a deeper relationship with Him is what this Christian walk is all about.
