The Miraculous Comes From Inside

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [ what one likes ], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17 (AMP)

When it comes to experiencing God’s supernatural power, it’s not about asking God to suspend natural laws for us. It’s about us as believers learning to activate a higher law, and it comes out of the kingdom inside each of us.

When we see prayer as asking God to override natural laws, we’re just hoping for Him to intervene. We feel helpless, as though we’re victims, just waiting for Him to have pity on us. But that’s not what God wants for us. He’s already given us the kingdom! It’s within us and it has been designed to influence everything around us.

Hoping God will intervene relies on an external force. When we realize the kingdom is within us, it’s still God’s power, but that power is internal, radiating out of us to affect our circumstances.

Internal power, not external force, is the key, whether we’re waiting on that force to come from God or we’re trying to force things to change on our own strength.

You see, if we want to improve our lives and we feel like it’s up to us to force things to change—force our finances to improve, force our relationships to work, force our bodies to become healthier—it’s exhausting and stressful! We can’t maintain that our whole lives, which is why so many struggle.

As a believer, you have the power of God within you for change, and it doesn’t have to be difficult! Just keep renewing your mind in God’s Word. The more you align that inner kingdom with the truth, the more God’s promises will dominate your outer world.
