God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Acts 10:38 (NLT)
The feeling you get when you help someone find Jesus is incredible. We know it’s the best news we could ever share, yet many people hesitate to share it because they assume they don’t have the personality for it.
In reality, you can reach people for Christ without being an extroverted people-person type. You’ll reach people that those outgoing types could never reach—people who prefer a softer, more subtle approach.
If you always have your antenna up and ask Holy Spirit to show you the people He wants you to talk or be kind to, your life will be one great big adventure. It’s really that simple. Our verse today says that Jesus was anointed with Holy Spirit’s power and then He went about doing good things. How easy is that?
You don’t need to grab on to people or try to control them. Just be kind and look for opportunities to introduce them to Jesus in an everyday, relaxed, Spirit Contemporary way. Let go of the desire to control what they decide to do with that introduction. After all, you can only control what you will or will not do.
Everywhere you go, just find good things you can do. You can give a compliment to somebody. You can brighten the day of a waiter who is looking down. You can encourage the cashier who just had to deal with an irate customer.
If you’re open, Holy Spirit will show you how to reach the people around you. With His help, you can become an expert on loving people into His Kingdom.
