We tend to give coincidence a lot more credit than it deserves. Meanwhile, a good portion of the good luck that happens to us was planned beforehand by God.
The Amplified version of Ephesians 2:10 tells us that God prepared paths ahead of time for us, and that if we walk in them, we live the good life He prearranged and made ready for us to live. In other words, God prearranged a good life for you, but you have to choose to live it.
Living this amazing life includes fulfilling the exciting purpose God has for you. Jesus summed up this purpose in Matthew 4:19 when He called to Simon Peter and Andrew, to follow Him and said, I will show you how to fish for people!
Jesus didn’t say, Follow me and I’ll make you a religious, judgmental person. He was called to attract people to Him, and He calls each of us the same way. You see, you were designed to show people the amazing, incredible life they can have through Jesus.
God hates seeing people live broken, lost lives without Him. He has so much more for them than the lives they are living. He wants to work through you to show them how they can have real love, joy, peace, passion and purpose in Him, but you don’t do this by hitting them with condemnation or by pointing out all their sin.
It’s incredible to play a part in the process of someone coming to Christ and it makes life so exciting! It’s not difficult. As you go about each day, just look for the chance to ignite someone’s curiosity by sharing your story of how incredible life can be with Jesus.
