Live Confidently With God

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

We all have problems from time to time and some of them may even seem impossible to overcome. Maybe you are going through a season of grief or you are struggling with an addiction or a financial problem. Whatever it is, you can live confidently with God as you walk through the problem.

When you meditate on a verse, you allow it to become embedded in your heart. Sometimes it is necessary to read and think about a verse over and over to cause your heart to really believe what it says. However, once you believe it, God’s Word comes alive, altering what you believe and how you live your life.

Proverbs 4:21 says meditation allows you to put God’s promises “in the center of your heart” (AMPC). It’s about letting a deep-rooted understanding sink down to your very core. You don’t just realize that it’s possible to conquer a storm; you are convinced you will conquer anything life throws your way. You don’t just know of Jesus’ peace, you experience it. Meditating on God’s promises brings strength, peace of mind and confidence—the antidote to fear, anxiety and worry.

Jesus wants you to stop worrying about tomorrow and live today to the fullest. And as you fill your mind and heart with more of God, you’re going to push out regrets over the past and fears over the future; you’ll begin to live more confidently in the paths he’s prepared for you.
