Life-Giving Church

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42 (NKJV)

Many people walk through this life alone, without the family connections that we often take for granted. Did you know that God created a family for you too? It is the church!

If you do not belong to a life-giving church, I encourage you to find one. Many people have misconceptions that church is always a place of judgment and that it’s anything but fun. Perhaps there are churches out there that don’t do much to inspire and encourage growth. But there are plenty that do. One of the best decisions you can make to change your life for the better is to find a life-giving church and attend regularly.

A life-giving church creates a positive environment for the whole family to reach their highest potential. According to Acts 2:42, a life-giving church provides:

  1. Teaching: An ability to teach from the Bible in ways that are inspiring and relevant to your daily living.
  2. Fellowship: A great place to build friendships with people you can trust. The friends you meet in a life-giving church should challenge you to grow, help you see your blind spots and weaknesses and encourage you to give your best in everything you do.
  3. Breaking of Bread: Social networking and opportunities to get together over food, conversation and laughter. There is something beautiful that happens when people eat together.
  4. Prayer: Opportunities to experience the power of collective prayer. Prayer is an intimate, life-changing dialogue with God. Church is a place where you learn how to pray in effective ways and learn to make prayer and meditation a daily habit.
