For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (NLT)
According to 1 Corinthians 2:16, you can have the mind of Christ! You can become more and more like Him as you live your life. Jesus was emotionally attractive. He drew crowds wherever He went. He made the outcasts feel loved and accepted, smiling and encouraging them to make better decisions. They were attracted to the peace, joy and unconditional love that radiated from Him. He made people feel equal to Him; He was not condescending. We can be emotionally attractive like Jesus.
Get God’s Word into your mind and heart. When you read the Bible, it is more than just words on a page. It has an amazing ability to cause transformation in you because it changes what you think and believe. It’s teaching attaches itself to your mind and begins to grow. You begin to feel better about yourself as you learn to be confident in who God says you are. God’s Word transforms the way you think, changing what you believe, and you begin to feel differently.
Do you need to have it all together to be emotionally attractive? No, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. God’s Word encourages us with hope—we’re on a journey to becoming more like Jesus.
You’ve been designed to be emotionally attractive like Jesus. Keep developing your relationship with Him. Learn all you can about Him by reading the Word and listening to great teaching. As you do, make the decision to live each day with love and laughter!
