How To Handle Storms

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12

God has a destiny for your life. Long before you came along, he knew you were coming. He knew when and where you would be born, who your parents would be, the kind of opportunities you would have, and he’s got a plan for your life.

Your God-given destiny is the best plan for your life, and through your everyday choices, you decide whether or not you will walk out that road.

As you study God’s Word and learn to listen to his leading, you will begin to walk out the amazing road that God has prepared for you. It’s important to know that as you walk out your destiny, the enemy will attempt to stop you. Difficulties will arise to try to get you off that path, so you need to know how to avoid the storms you can, and how to handle the ones that can’t be avoided quickly and effectively.

Over the next few days, I’m going to teach you how Jesus taught us to deal with the storms of life, based on how he spoke to the wind and waves in Mark 4. You see, each of us has a path to discover, and we need to maintain our faith-filled journey down that path.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of the faith.” Don’t just go through life. You are a warrior for Christ, with armour and a sword in your hand (Ephesians 6:10–18). Maintain that faith-filled journey, and instead of destroying you, those storms will catapult you faster toward your destiny.
