How Do We Enforce Our Authority?

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 (NLT)

James 4:2 explains one of the reasons why people don’t get what they want in life: they do not ask God. It says ‘To ask’ means to verbalize a request, desire, or need. We need to verbalize God’s promises for ourselves and for those around us!

Angels obey the voice of God’s Word. Your words give angels the right to protect, keep and act out God’s will. In fact, nothing happens on the planet unless a human being partners with God by verbalizing His will. It’s not that God isn’t capable of doing it, but He will not go against His Word. He designed it to be this way from the beginning.

Many think they need to pray to change God’s will, believing that if they pray hard enough, often enough or well enough, God might pity them and answer their prayer. They’ve developed this mis- belief based on the lie that God holds the world in His hands.

If you are sick and you believe that God does what He wishes on earth, it’s difficult to understand why He won’t heal you. You assume it is not His will for you to be healthy. If you are struggling with financial issues, you will assume He wants you to be poor. Your ability to walk in God’s best becomes limited by mis-beliefs.

It is God’s will to heal and prosper you, but it’s up to you to believe and verbalize it. You have the authority. Because of Jesus, you can enforce  God’s  will  on  earth. Study His Word until you believe and then claim His promises!
