But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
God wants to take us from glory to glory, but sometimes we get stuck after the first glory.
We get saved, and we experience a bit of that glory. Life with God is awesome, exciting and new! But then, after a few months, that excitement seems to fade.
Do you know why? I believe that we lose that passion if we don’t continue to change and grow with God. We get focused on how everyone else needs to change instead of asking God to change us. We think, From glory to glory he needs to change my spouse, my kids, my pastor, my boss…
But that’s not what today’s verse says. From glory to glory he’s changing ME!
Excitement comes with change. When you begin to sense that you are not who you used to be, and that you’re moving on with what God’s called you to be, it’s so exciting! When you begin to change, everything comes alive in your life!
Just put your trust in God again. Start dreaming of having a life full of great relationships, passion and purpose. Believe that things can change, and trust God to empower you to change them.
And as you grow, enjoy your life! Enjoy food, fun and family. Take your focus off what you don’t like or don’t have, and focus on what you can praise God for. You’re going to love this life you live with God!
