God Has More For You

Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16 (AMPC)

If God were an author, would He write boring books? With God being the inventor of creativity, I don’t think so. Just take a minute to think about all that went into the creation of this universe. From the majestic lion to the platypus, God has no shortage of imagination!

God actually is an author, according to today’s verse, and He’s written a perfect plan for every day of your life in His book. While He won’t force you to take the paths He’s set before you, He’s prepared a way, and it’s not boring! He wants you to live your life to the fullest!

Wherever you are today, God has more for you, but you have to believe it. Some would argue that wanting more is greedy, but Jesus came so you could have an abundant life (John 10:10). Think about it…you may be content with your current income and level of influence, for example, but how many more people could you help if these continued to grow? Having a job you don’t hate may seem “good enough,” but it’s even better to be passionate about what you do so you can inspire others to want what you have—and then point them to Jesus!

Realize that God is not opposed to your success and then go for it! Talk and act as though you really believe you will have what God says you can have. Thank God every day for His promises, and then take action, doing what you need to do to go to that next level.
