Have you ever known someone who was the teacher’s favourite? They had preferential treatment with the teacher, right?
Well, you have God’s favour as a believer, so you have preferential treatment with God! It’s not that God loves you more than anyone else on this planet, but there are great benefits to being His kid.
When Moses led the Israelites out of slavery, they experienced this favour. God had prepared a Promised Land for them complete with ready-made cities, roads, houses, food and crops that they didn’t build or grow themselves. Now that’s preferential treatment!
God gave the Israelites a lot, but it’s important to realize that what He gave them was opportunity. God didn’t fight the giants for them. He didn’t plough the fields or milk the cows either. They had to take hold of the opportunity and then manage what they had gained. God gave them the opportunity, and those who worked harder became more successful.
In fact, this is the key to your future. Living a blessed life is a combination of God’s favour and the work of your hands.
God favours His people and, as a believer, you’re one of them! He wants to lead you into an abundant life, just as He led the Israelites to their Promised Land. Keep believing that God’s favour is on your life and put action to your faith, and you’ll experience more of His blessings in your life.
