It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of all garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade. Mark 4:31-32 (NLT)
Jesus said that we only need faith like a mustard seed—the tiniest seed of all. Yet this tiny seed of faith produces huge results! When planted, a tiny, mustard seed can grow to the size of a tree. In the same way, a tiny seed of faith can grow into a giant life-transforming belief with far reaching effects.
That tiny seed of faith is all you need. Faith works. We simply need to understand the process of turning hope to faith.
God’s Word planted in your heart will only produce a harvest when hope turns to faith. But how do you know you have reached faith? If you wake up in the morning and your stomach is in a knot because you are afraid, you are not yet at the hope stage. You are expecting the worst in fear.
However, when you begin your day with peace and you find yourself wondering what good news you will receive today, you have entered hope. Faith takes this a step further. You wake up and joy seems to bubble up from inside you because you know that something good is going to happen.
Make the transition from hope to faith. Keep gathering evidence that you can have your promise by hearing others’ testimonies and by meditating on God’s Word. Get emotionally involved and excited. Visualize the end result. You will become fully persuaded and will have great results!
