Eyes On Jesus

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)

When believers face problem after problem in life, sometimes they start to wonder if they are destined to struggle. They question if they’ll ever overcome their bad habits, or they feel trapped in anxiety, stress or low self-worth.

In times like these, it’s easy to assume we’re lacking something. We tend to look outside ourselves to change our circumstances. Meanwhile, God has already placed everything we need within us to be the people we want to be! “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3).

If we want to walk in victory, free from fear, with courage and faith, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The more we learn about Jesus, the more we are empowered to think and act like Him.

Then, instead of hoping and praying for things to change, we realize that we already have all we need within us to create change. We realize that we are sons and daughters of God, born of the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Remind yourself of who you are! You are full of faith. You are designed to rise above the challenges and trials of life. As you learn who you really are in Christ, that true identity that’s on the inside of you will begin to manifest on the outside, and your life will never be the same.
