For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29 (NKJV)
Why am I here? What should I be doing? Is there a purpose to my life?
If you have ever asked yourself questions like these, you’re not alone. Most Christians want to understand God’s plans for them, but may be unsure of how to hear from Him clearly. Or they may have something in mind that they’d love to do, but are wondering if God approves.
God’s plans always lead to the greatest fulfilment, joy and satisfaction. According to Romans 11:29, God has placed gifts within you and a calling on your life. Ephesians 2:10 says that you can choose to walk in these plans. In other words: God doesn’t force you to. The problem is that many Christians feel unsure that they’re on His path. They worry that they’ll miss out on what He has for them.
The truth is that religious thinking and wrong beliefs can cause you to miss all that your life could be, so you need to renew your mind. That being said, God’s calling on your life is not a secret. Think about the word “called.” When you’re being called, it’s not a whisper. God’s call is strong—it’s no secret. It’s loud and clear. You just need to get your beliefs right when it comes to your purpose and your destiny.
Over the next few days, we will tackle misbeliefs that may be holding you back from God’s plans for you. But for today, I want you to let it sink in that God has an amazing plan for your life. This is your time to set out on the adventure of a lifetime, and to start living life beyond your wildest dreams!
