We have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMPC)
My wife Sally and I have five children and we loved listening to them talk about their dreams when they were little. They had imagination plus plenty of passion and excitement and were focused on possibilities.
Dreaming about the future ignites the creativity, ingenuity and passion we all need to live big and accomplish much. We could learn a thing or two from kids—they have no trouble dreaming big.
Imagine if you could dream like Jesus. Some think Jesus was a boring, timid, soft-spoken guy who never smiled and made the peace sign all day. That’s just not the Jesus I find in the Bible.
Think about it: have you ever seen children flock to a boring person who never smiles? He certainly wasn’t timid or soft-spoken: He spoke to crowds of thousands and had no problem standing up to powerful religious leaders. He walked the earth with all the power of God—healing the sick and raising people from the dead. Boring? Not a chance.
Jesus was passionate. He had such amazing love and unconditional acceptance that people flocked to Him by the thousands. And 1 Corinthians 2:16 says that we can understand the thoughts, feelings and purposes in Jesus’ heart when we develop a relationship with Him.
You do not have to merely imagine; you can dream, live and love like Jesus just by getting to know Him better!
