His Door Is Always Open To You

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

Do you ever struggle to believe God loves you?

Sometimes we struggle because we think God is focused on the sin in our lives. We think He’s out to judge and condemn us, but today’s verses communicate the opposite. God’s main focus is relationship, not judgment, and as believers, we are right with Him. God has nothing but love for us!

Other times we struggle to believe that God loves us because we’ve experienced pain and heartache in our lives. We think, “How could God possibly love me if He allowed such horrible things to happen?”

The truth is that God doesn’t orchestrate tragedy in our lives. We live in an imperfect world filled with trouble, but we have a loving God who’s on our side. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” God wants nothing but the best for us!

The truth is, your Father God believes in you. He knows who you are and what you’re capable of, and He has great plans for you that you can choose to follow.

If you’ve been feeling far from God, know that His door is always open to you. Ask Him to help you to rediscover His love for you—and as you read His Word, He will! He gave everything to be in a relationship with you!
