By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)

When you face a struggle in life, whether that might be in your health, finances, marriage, relationships, emotions or sense of self-worth, do you wait for God to do something about it?

Many people have been taught to simply pray and then wait to see if God will do something. I’d like to propose a different approach. You can understand the Word and consistently build your life in a number of areas.

God has freely given us all things that we need for life, according to 2 Peter 1:3. This verse also says, We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvellous glory and excellence (NLT). In other words, we have access to all that we need in life because of Jesus.

When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for us to be able to experience the good life. Because of Jesus, we have the opportunity to live an exciting life, a healed life, a prosperous life, a joyful life and a peaceful life. He paid for it all. If you honestly cannot say that you are living a life that exemplifies all of the above, it is time to learn how to cause God’s promises to change the beliefs of your heart.

Today, think about your life. Could you be experiencing a more exciting, healthy, prosperous, joyful, peaceful life? Pick one area you would like to build and meditate on God’s promises regarding it. You will begin to line up your heart-beliefs with what God promised you and change in a positive direction will begin to happen effortlessly.
