When we begin the habit of speaking God’s promises over our lives, it produces incredible change.
At first, the change takes place within us. Our heart beliefs begin to change and we form different expectations. Next, the change becomes external as our hearts begin to move us toward those new expectations.
Often these changes may seem impossible, beyond reason, beyond comprehension. That’s because they are impossible in the natural. But these changes don’t happen through our strength. They’re only possible with God. They’re possible when we get new dreams and visions painted on the canvas of our hearts. They’re possible when we continue to speak and meditate on God’s promises day after day, month after month, year after year, because then our lives begin to connect to the miraculous.
Claim these promises today. Say something like this:
Thank you, Father, that no weapon formed against me will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Thank you for giving me your peace (John 14:27), and that even when I face trouble in this world, I don’t have to worry, because Jesus is in me and He has overcome the world (John 16:33)!
Thank you for guiding me every day (Proverbs 3:5–6), and thank you for giving me your Holy Spirit. As I go about my week, thank you that He is leading me into all truth (John 16:13). He’s helping me to know you better. He’s helping me to make the right decisions in my career. He’s giving me guidance to better my relationships and to get healthier in my body. In you, I have everything I need!
