The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 (NLT)
Before I ever met my wife Sally, I was praying for her. It’s been so exciting to see our lives unfold together because every prayer I prayed as a single man is still affecting my life today. God’s Word doesn’t come back void. It accomplishes what it is sent forth to do. (See Isaiah 55:11).
Today’s verse says that God will instruct you and teach you in the ways you should go. He wants to lead you to the right person to marry, if you’re single. He will also lead you to parent your kids well and make great business decisions.
Proverbs 3:5–6 adds to this promise. It says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (NLT).
Psalm 16:11 promises you even more. It says, You [God] will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (NKJV).
Let’s claim these verses today. Find a quiet place where you can be alone or pray something like this under your breath: “Father, thank you for showing me where to go and what to do. You’re loving eye is on me and you’re always leading and guiding me to the best paths in life. Help me to remember to consult You more often for Your guidance. I love you, Father!”
