YOU DON’T EARN GOD’S FAVOUR

Leon FontaineDevoted

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. Ephesians 2:8 (AMP) Do you ever doubt God’s desire to bless you when you think about all the mistakes you’ve made? The truth is that you don’t need to qualify yourself for God’s blessings. For believers, God’s favour and grace are free. God gives you access to His blessings and He gives you favours you don’t have to earn as a believer. God’s miracles and blessings are not just for those who deserve them! They’re for every believer! It’s the same with salvation. When you gave your life to Christ, you were saved by grace through faith. Salvation is not something you …

FAVOUR RESTS ON YOU

Leon FontaineDevoted

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:14 (NIV) God’s favour rests on you. As a believer, you have access to His incredible power, ability, stamina, wisdom and provision. It’s not that you have just a little advantage over the rest of the world. We’re talking about favour that makes people shake their head and ask, “How on earth did you get to where you are today?” If you grew up in legalistic religion, you might have trouble with the idea of favour. You may have learned that you need to earn God’s love and acceptance, so the idea that God has freely given you everything you need is foreign. Here’s the problem …

FAVOUR: THE KEY TO YOUR FUTURE

Leon FontaineDevoted

And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) Have you ever known someone who was the teacher’s favourite? They had preferential treatment with the teacher, right? Well, you have God’s favour as a believer, so you have preferential treatment with God! It’s not that God loves you more than anyone else on this planet, but there are great benefits to being His kid. When Moses led the Israelites out of slavery, they experienced this favour. God had prepared a …

DREAM OF MORE

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]. Ephesians 3:20 (AMP) When you talk about your vision for the future, you may describe career goals. While this is great, a successful career can’t be your only dream or you’ll sacrifice everything else to get it. You need a dream for every area of life. In fact, every one of God’s promises for you as a believer provides the basis for something you can dream about. For example, you are promised health, so do you have …

BELIEFS HELP OR HINDER YOUR DREAMS

Leon FontaineDevoted

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 (NKJV) Do you know what limits you from achieving your dreams more than anything? It’s your beliefs. Your beliefs either help or hinder your dreams. To develop beliefs that empower your dreams, you need to base them on the truth. Jesus said that He is the “way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6, NIV). In other words, when you base your beliefs on Jesus’ teachings and His Word, those beliefs empower you to achieve the dreams God has placed in your heart. Jesus also said, “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32, NKJV). Knowing this truth makes you free to do …
