Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalm 23:6 (NKJV) When I was young, we used to sing an old hymn with a chorus that went something like this: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days, all the days of my life.” It’s funny, but I actually thought that it was talking about three women who were following me: Shirley, Goodness and Mercy! Speak to That Mountain
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23 (NKJV) Prayer is proclamation as well as communication. Sometimes when I pray, I’m having a dialogue with God. I might say, “Hi, Father. I don’t know what to do in this situation.
