Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (NKJV) Do you ever feel insecure, stressed-out, worried or anxious? When you’re struggling to overcome something, one of the best things you can do is focus on the opposite. Don’t focus on what you don’t want. Focus on what you DO want by meditating on what God’s Word has to say about it. When it comes to peace, God’s Word has a lot to say. Start by taking a look at Isaiah 26:3. It says you can have peace by keeping your mind on God. Look at Philippians 4:6–7 next. It …
Claim His Guidance
The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Before I ever met my wife Sally, I was praying for her. It’s been so exciting to see our lives unfold together because every prayer I prayed as a single man is still affecting my life today. God’s Word doesn’t come back void. It accomplishes what it is sent forth to do. (See Isaiah 55:11). Today’s verse says that God will instruct you and teach you in the ways you should go. He wants to lead you to the right person to marry, if you’re single. He will also lead you to parent your kids well and make great business …
Praying For The Little Ones
Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father. Matthew 18:10 (NLT) When our kids were young, my wife Sally and I learned to get into agreement when we prayed. Starting during pregnancy, we would pray that each child would love God, serve Him, walk in love and do great things for God. We spoke over their future—over who they were going to marry and what they were going to do—claiming God’s promises and agreeing with who He said they would be. Now, this doesn’t mean that our kids have never had struggles. Of course they have; they live on this imperfect planet! But …
Claim Strength, Power And Love
May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. Ephesians 3:16 (AMPC) Could you use more strength and power in your life? Would you like to experience more of God’s love? Some Bible verses are so rich with promises that it’s important to slow down and meditate on them. Ephesians 3:16–19 is a great example. It promises you can have: strength and mighty power in your inner being through Holy Spirit; Christ in your heart through your faith; and the power to experience God’s incredible love for you and to be rooted in it. It also says you can …
Healing Is Yours
Through His wounds, you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 (VOICE) According to today’s verse, you can access healing because of Jesus. At one time in my life, I had bone chips in my ankles from injuries I incurred when I was younger. Now and then, one of my ankles would lock up on me when I was walking. The pain was so excruciating that one time I almost passed out from it. I had seen the doctors about it, which is something you should always do when you’re dealing with a health issue, and they were considering surgery. In the meantime, I decided to pray. For a couple of months, I spoke God’s promises of healing over my ankles. After a while, I noticed that …
