For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. Ephesians 2:8 (AMPC) Do you ever doubt God’s desire to bless you when you think about all the mistakes you’ve made? The truth is that you don’t need to qualify yourself for God’s blessings. For believers, God’s favour and grace are free gifts. God gives you access to His blessings and He gives you favour you don’t have to earn as a believer. God’s miracles and blessings are not just for those who deserve them! They’re for every believer! It’s the same with salvation. When you gave your life to Christ, you were saved by grace through faith. Salvation is …
Favour Rests On You
Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom God is pleased. Luke 2:14 (NLT) God’s favour rests on you. As a believer, you have access to His incredible power, ability, stamina, wisdom and provision. It’s not that you have just a little advantage over the rest of the world. We’re talking about favour that makes people shake their head and ask, “How on earth did you get to where you are today?” If you grew up in legalistic religion, you might have trouble with this idea of having God’s favour. You may have learned that you need to earn God’s love and acceptance, so the idea that God has freely given you everything you need is foreign concept. …
Favour: The Key To Your Future
And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMPC) Have you ever known someone who was the teacher’s favourite? It didn’t matter what anyone else did, they always had preferential treatment. Because of Jesus, you have God’s favour as a believer. That means God gives you preferential treatment! It’s not that God loves you more than anyone else, but there are great benefits to being His kid. When Moses led the Israelites out of slavery, they experienced this …
Tact Is Not Tacky
Always be ready to explain your faith with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 (TPT) Tactfulness goes a long way in sharing the gospel. There are millions of hurting, lost souls out there. Many of them would willingly choose God but are turned off because of the way people share about Him. It’s not only important that we share the gospel, but it’s equally critical how we share it. It should not be done in a condemning, judgemental way, or with a legalistic approach— but tactfully with love. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines tact as sensing “what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense.” When communicating with others, we can’t control how people will respond. And the truth …
Can I Share Jesus When I’m A Mess?
My imprisonment has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered. All the soldiers here, and everyone else, too, found out that I’m in jail because of this Messiah. That piqued their curiosity, and now they’ve learned about him. Philippians 1:12 (MSG) Do you feel unqualified to share about Jesus because your life isn’t perfect, or you think you need to clean up some areas first? Good news—your testimony is powerful, regardless of whether or not your life is fantastic at the moment. Every believer’s life serves a purpose for His Kingdom, no matter what. Now, God loves us too much to want us to remain stuck in a bad place permanently. However, poor circumstances don’t mean …
