For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14 (NKJV) As a believer, you are a son or daughter of God. This is an incredible revelation with so many layers to discover. God is your Father and you’re loved no matter what. Nothing you ever do will cause Him to love you less. Does this reality cause you to be in awe of God? In Isaiah 6, Isaiah received a vision from God: “I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and …
Just Believe… In His Favour
Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” Matthew 9:29 (NLT) When people are going through a struggle in their lives, they often say that they’re fighting the devil. But is this really effective? I’m not saying that you should ignore the devil’s tactics. Ephesians 6:11 teaches us to put on all of God’s armour so that we can stand firm against all of Satan’s strategies. However, there’s a big difference between being focused on God’s armour—learning key truths from God’s Word so you can walk in all you’ve been empowered to be—and being focused on fighting the devil. One of the most effective tactics an army can employ is to get their enemies to waste time and resources …
Increase In Favour With God
But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 2 Peter 3:18 (AMPC) Over the last few days we’ve been discussing God’s favour on your life as a believer. So…if you already have God’s favour on your life and there’s nothing you can do to earn it, why does our verse today say that you need to grow in favour? What this verse is really saying is that you can grow in your experience of God’s favour. Growing in favour doesn’t mean you get more power, ability or provision from God. God has already given every member of His family all of the favour He could ever give. But you can …
Called To Barely Get By?
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12 (NKJV) Do you have trouble believing that God’s incredible favour is on your life? Some old hymns are great, but others leave the wrong impression. For example, I remember singing one that went like this: “I’m satisfied with just a cottage below, a little silver and a little gold, but in that city where the ransomed will shine, I want a gold one that’s silver-lined.” Another went something like this: “Showers of blessing, showers of blessing we need. Mercy drops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead.” The problem with songs like this, is they imply that we’re to be satisfied with …
Favour Overcomes Every Problem
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Genesis 39:21 (NKJV) Joseph is a great Biblical example of a person who experienced God’s favour. From his life it’s clear to see that having God’s favour doesn’t exempt you from having problems. In the beginning, Joseph’s life looked like the picture-perfect example of favour. Then one day his jealous brothers sold him to slave-traders. It would seem that God’s favour had left Joseph, but Joseph ended up working for Potiphar, one of the Pharaoh’s top leaders. Joseph worked hard, and God’s favour caused him to rise to the top. Eventually Joseph was placed in charge of all of Potiphar’s affairs. …
