ILLUMINATE YOUR FUTURE

Then Jesus asked them, “Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.” Mark 4:21 (NLT) God’s Word wasn’t written to sit on the pages of a dusty Bible in your drawer. It needs to be placed on the lampstand of your life. You see, the Word only works when you get it inside you. Like a lamp or a flashlight, it illuminates and enlightens you, shining into every cloudy corner of indecision. Instead of you having to fumble around in the dark, it will bring clarity on how to build great relationships. God’s Word shows you how to prosper, how to be healed …

CREATING GENERATIONAL FAITH

“I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” Genesis 17:7 (NLT) God is all about generations. In fact, one of the reasons He chose to make the old covenant with Abraham was because of how Abraham viewed family. God knew this man would pass his faith down to the next generation. Parents, don’t let this world remove the incredible honour and importance of raising your children. It’s not just a side hustle or a part-time job. We have a responsibility to make sure each generation is being prepared to serve God. Since Mother’s Day is this month, I …

FILL YOUR FAMILY’S IMAGINATION

“But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.” Deuteronomy 4:9 (NLT) Yesterday we saw how Paul’s young protégé, Timothy, was incredibly impacted by his grandmother. She instilled great faith in her daughter, who passed it on to Timothy. As parents and grandparents, we need to fill our family’s imagination with God’s Word. Psalm 78:4 (NLT) says, “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.” God’s principles are so powerful that when you teach them …

IMPACTING GENERATIONS

You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15 (NLT) I have the utmost respect for the women in my life: my wife, four daughters, and my mom. To watch their strength and love for God and family is incredible. Many people in today’s society act as if being a mom isn’t important or special. But that’s not what God’s Word says at all. Moms have a tremendous impact. In 2 Timothy 3:15 (MSG), Paul urged young Timothy: “Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk!” As a mother prays …

6 PRINCIPLES FOR MOMS

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…” Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NKJV) Mothers play such a vital role. Today, I want to share some of the parenting principles in God’s Word that will help you raise children of faith. Teach your children God’s Word (Deuteronomy 6:6-9). It’s important to get the Word inside of you first—to have a revelation of God and His promises—and then teach it to your kids. Train your children (Proverbs 22:6). In sports, a coach is out on the field during practice, showing the players how to run faster or pass the ball. Get on your kids’ level and show them God’s ways by example. Provide for your children …
