Careful What You Hear

And He said to them,”Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.” Mark 4:24 (AMP)

The more study and thought you give to what you hear, the more impact it has on your autopilot. This is why it’s so important to carefully choose who you allow to speak into your life.

Don’t let just anyone speak into your life.  Think carefully about the people you bring into your inner circle. Do they speak mistrust, suspicion and negativity into you? Your heart takes in what it is exposed

to, so you need to guard your heart.

You also need to be careful about what you’re watching on television or in movies because of the way it affects your heart. I love a good movie, but there are some I just won’t watch because the pictures

they paint in my mind aren’t ones I want to meditate on.

The words others speak and the media you are exposed to have a great impact on your heart, but your own thoughts are just as powerful. You can choose to keep your thoughts positive and uplifting.  When you get up in the morning, for example, focus on something positive right away. You don’t have to put up with a bad mood or a negative train of thought!

God’s most incredible creation was His kids. He made you in his likeness and image and you have so much more potential than you realize. Keep out the bad, flood in the good and live life the way God designed you to live!
