Build The Right Beliefs

Words have power in matters of life and death, and those who love them will savor their fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 (VOICE)

Do you speak positively about your relationships, health, career, and finances? What are you declaring? Because according to our verse today, your words have power—life and death kind of power.

I’m not saying that negative words hang over you like some sort of curse. And speaking God’s Word isn’t like invoking some sort of magical spell. To a great degree, the power of words has to do with the influence they have over your beliefs.

I’m also not saying that you can’t talk about the problems you face. Just don’t speak about them in a negative, defeated kind of way. And as you do everything you can to fix issues, keep claiming God’s promises for your life. When you do, those words will help you to believe, and then you’re going to receive!

Form new habits when it comes to how you talk about your life. For example, don’t say things like, “I’m just so tired all the time. I guess I’m just getting old and I have to accept it.” Joel 3:10 says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong’” (NKJV), so you need to be saying, “I am healthy and strong in Jesus’s name!”

If you’re facing something difficult, don’t say, “This situation is never going to change.” Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing will be impossible” (NKJV). You need to be saying, “Right now, this situation may seem impossible, but I know that nothing is impossible with you, Father! Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need!”

Make sure the words you speak are building the beliefs you want.
