Just as we have borne the image of the earthly [the man of dust], we will also bear the image of the heavenly [the Man of heaven]. 1 Corinthians 15:49 (AMPC)
The good news of the Gospel is not just that Jesus came to die for you and forgive your sins, but that He gave His life to you.
So many believers today are living defeated lives. They may believe they’re forgiven and that they have a place in Heaven, but they’re still living with intense guilt. Some will call themselves “sinners saved by grace,” but that term has been taken out of context.
You were a sinner, but now you’ve been saved by grace. You have right-standing with God. If you’re a believer, Jesus did more than deal with your sin. He gave you a new life!
Your nature has been completely transformed. There is a night and day difference between who you used to be and who you are now.
Now, this transformation doesn’t mean you’re perfect. We all have old thinking and belief systems that we need to renew with God’s Word. But it means your inner nature has changed. You’re not a sinner anymore. You’re a saint. You’re a brand-new creation bearing God’s image, and Christ is alive inside you.
If you want to know what this new life looks like, read the New Testament and take a look at look at the life of Jesus. First John 4:17 (NKJV) says, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Jesus was the first one since Adam to walk in authority as a human being, alive with the presence and power of God, and you can too.
As you get into God’s Word and meditate on what He says about you, you’ll begin to tap into the life of Jesus flowing within you!
