So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)
Today I’d like to tell you a story to encourage you to stand in faith for God’s miraculous help in your life.
I was at school, in grade one or two, when my stomach starting hurting. I lived in a small town where it was common for kids to walk back and forth to school unattended, so my teacher released me to walk home alone.
As I was walking, the stomach pain became more and more intense. When it got to the point where I couldn’t walk anymore, I slipped into the ditch and curled up into a ball.
As I was lying in the ditch, I cried out to God. All of a sudden, it was like a finger touched the back of my neck. A hot flash went from the top of my head to the tips of my toes and the pain left instantly. I didn’t see an angel and I don’t know how the miracle happened exactly, but I felt so good that I turned around and went back to school!
I’ve never forgotten that day. God’s angels are on assignment in our lives, and when we pray, they go to work.
What are you dealing with today? You can claim God’s promises of health, prosperity, peace and joy. I can’t promise that you’ll feel an instantaneous touch from God, but I can guarantee this: God’s Word does not return void. As you continue to claim it and stand in faith, it will accomplish what he has released it to do!
