Stay Focused

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

The more you focus on God’s thoughts and truths, the more you will experience his promises.

Focus is involved in any great endeavour. Take a great hockey player,

for example. No matter if punches are flying and teeth are being knocked out, he has one thought on his mind: the puck. That’s his focus. Great business leaders are no different. No matter what comes, they

have one recurring thought: I’m going to reach my goal. They are focused, and focus brings creativity.

A lack of focus shuts creativity down. But often a creative solution is all you need for the problems you face. I’ve found some of my best ones have come from time I’ve spent meditating on God’s Word.

You see, God’s Word is not just about what you should or shouldn’t do, although it will show you ways to live that will lead to the best life. God’s Word filled with promises. It is alive and powerful and leads to possibility thinking.

Think about it. If you believe it’s normal to feel sad and drained all the time, you’re going to get stuck in that state. But as you begin to believe God’s promises of joy, it changes everything. You’re going to start looking for creative solutions to change the way you feel, and you won’t quit until you experience the joy God says you can!

If you’re struggling to experience the promises God’s Word says you can have, don’t give up. Keep meditating on those promises and ask God to open your eyes to the creative ideas you need to start walking them out.
