The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. Psalm 34:19 (NIV)
Too many people just trust in their own strength to change. They want to deal with bad habits, or want to accomplish something with their life, so they set out in their own strength to do and be what God has called them to.
When they struggle and it becomes hard, those dreams slowly begin to die on the inside. Eventually, they stop dreaming entirely. They stop expecting a good outcome because they’ve tried and failed before.
Instead, they stay stuck in a rut, just going through the motions of daily life. The best they hope for is a few little minutes of fun or distraction on the weekend. The desire to rise up and do great things for God begins to ebb away because they are not relying on the power of Holy Spirit within them.
This doesn’t have to happen to you. You can rely on God’s power and strength within you! Psalm 34:19 says, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from the mall” (NIV). Proverbs 24:16 says, “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (NIV). No matter what you’re facing, He can take you through!
The truth is that no challenge is too big for God. “I tell you the truth,” says Jesus, “if you have faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible” (Matthew 17:20, NLT). What is possible? “Everything is possible for one who believes” (Mark 9:23, NIV)!
Just keep believing. Don’t give up! Trust that God’s power is in you and start walking in it.
