Like Jesus inside

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMPC)

Christians often become fixated with trying to find their unique destiny—their one true calling in life. Although it’s true that you have unique God-given gives and abilities and that He has an individualized plan for your life, you have to be careful. These are not your primary focus.
You haven’t been called to a position. Your destiny is to be like Jesus.
If you pursue your calling first— what you believe God wants you to do—your identity will become wrapped up in your achievements and your position. Let’s say you believe that your destiny is to be
the worship leader at your church. What happens if someone else comes around who is better suited to that position?
If you believe you’re called to that position, you’re going to hang on to it no matter what. But if you believe you’re called to be like Jesus, you’ll be willing to go wherever you’re needed—wherever you can be the biggest blessing to others—because that’s what Jesus would do.
Your primary goal in life is to get to know Jesus better so you can be transformed into His image, believing, thinking and acting more like Him.
You can fulfill your destiny—which is to be like Jesus!
